Our bloodlines have come mostly from the Lakota herd, built up over time by the Engh family of Virginia who have chosen carefully to introduce good genetics and the traits so necessary to produce cattle who fare well on grasses alone.  The Oak Hill herd is growing and developing it's own characteristics as the years go by to conform to our concept of the ideal animal.  More on that later.
